🛠️ Building Your Yurt

Our traditional Mongolian yurts are designed to be practical and efficient to assemble. With a suitable base and a small team, most yurts can be erected within a day.

What you’ll need before you start:
A solid, level base or deck
Basic tools
At least two people for lifting and positioning
Calm weather conditions where possible

We strongly recommend familiarising yourself with the build process before the big day.

🪵 Yurt Decking & Base

A well-prepared base is essential for the longevity, stability and comfort of your yurt. The most common option is a timber deck, though other solid bases can also work depending on your site.

Key considerations:
The base must be level and ideal circular shape
Adequate ventilation beneath the yurt
Allowance for drainage and airflow
